This interview
The results of the questionaire will be reviewed to determine appropriate candidates to interview further. Candidates will be a mix between those who are successful and unsuccessful at self-regulation. The purpose of this interview is to further investigate on uncovered themes that may be worth exploring.
From this interview, a "scenario" will be determined to base the prototype from. Interview participant results will be used to create a clear persona that will be used to evaluate the proposed prototype.

Participant Requirements
Based on the pilot study results, a provisional persona has been created to target specific participants for further investigation. The characteristics of the participant include:
- The participant has intention of actively pursuing their personal ambitions, however may or may not struggle to keep them active in their lives
- Has a smartphone, relies on smartphone or desktop as a tool to support human functions, has a personal self-authored goal or ambition (long-term, linked to well-being) to achieve something beyond everyday sustenance and survival, has difficulty finding time to progress these goals, perceives distractions as a threat to personal or life achievement.
- Looking for subjects both successful and unsuccessful at applying strategies towards self-regulation
- Screening to be done through online profile-questionnaire to obtain profile data to screen eligible participants
- Participants with this profile may also be used for potential further experimental research with prototyping test.

. I’ll be leading our interview today. As you may already know based on the questionnaire sent out, [Alex M. Chong]
is conducting research on the topic of leveraging personal technology devices, so that we can self-regulate ourselves in progressing our own personal pursuits or goals. The research is particularly investigating existing techniques, and perhaps struggles, to learn more about what possibilities can be proposed.

To understand what motivates them towards this pursuit (why it’s important), as well as what their ideal state is when actively progressing this personal ambition.

2.2 Interview Results Analysis

Audio recording of interviews will be captured and to create transcriptions of their responses.
Text analysis will used in addition to qualitative research analysis, to combine quantitative insights as a mixed method to improve the quality of results. This allows for contextual information to be overlaid with empirical insights on word relationships, to either discover uncovered themes or to reinforce found themes.
Voyant Tools, which is an open-source web-based application used for tech analysis to extract word frequency and word relationship and to gain an empirical understanding of potential uncovered themes as well as used to validate discovered themes from qualitative analysis;.
